Protect (Patient Risk Optimisation Through Eclipse Clinical Triage) recognised as the Class Leading Support Service in delivering Equality for the NHS. Regions working with us have independently felt the need to submit the programme for awards on account of the significant impact it has on improving patient safety, reducing hospital admissions and improving equality of care.

PULSE General Practice Awards 2021 - GP Team of the Year

Created as a response to Covid-19, the team has supported thousands of clinically extremely vulnerable people who have needed to shield across Norfolk and Waveney. 

Through an online platform and by telephone the clinically-led project team gave help and advice to support safe shielding. It is believed this was the first local system to apply such a wide-reaching, clinically led, digitally enabled and data informed, multi-organisational integrated approach. 

HSJ Awards 2021 - Connecting Services and Information Award

Our COVID Protect Module - a local NHS and social care initiative to protect Norfolk and Waveney’s most vulnerable patients at the onset of the pandemic – has won the 2021 Health Service Journal Award for Connecting Services and Information.

COVID Protect was launched with the Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Partnership in March 2020 and the pioneering project has been named as a finalist in six national awards so far this year.

The judges named the project as the worthy winner due to the inspirational and person-centred model of care provided in response to the Covid-19 crisis, which has since evolved into meeting the needs of the wider health and care system.
