BLMK Cervical Cancer Screening

Practice Pro-Forma

BLMK Cancer Network, in partnership with Eclipse, is providing a support service for practices to assist in increasing patient uptake of cervical cancer screening.

The BLMK Cervical Cancer Screening module is now live within nhspathways.org for all practices across BLMK. This aims to help practices to identify patients from different priority patient groups who are overdue their cervical cancer smear. The uptake at your practice can be longitudinally tracked and the patient lists can be filtered for vulnerable patient groups such as those in the Core20PLUS groups.

To assist in engaging with your patients, Eclipse’s PEGASUS patient engagement platform is being offered complimentary to interested practices. This will contact your eligible patients, link them through to an information zone to educate them about the importance of undertaking a cervical smear, and then direct them through to a secure questionnaire portal to answer questions for them to consent and express their preferences to undergo a cervical screen. The list of consented patients will be visible on your Eclipse portal ready to be booked in.

This programme can also be supported by the CQC-accredited Putting Patients First – a group of healthcare professionals and motivational interviewers to help increase engagement at your practice.

To register your interest for this engagement opportunity, please complete the pro forma below:

Please note that these preferences can be changed in the future, and your surgery will be contacted prior to any patient engagements.
